When Life Gives You Lemons, Make Lemonade

I came on my travels not really knowing who I was, not knowing what career path I wanted to take, not knowing who were my real friends or not. Safe to say I think I am half way through my mission. With only 2 weeks to go until I leave the amazing country that is New Zealand, I have found something that is truly amazing. And that is new friends. I have met some absolutely amazing people on this tour around New Zealand. I have spent nearly 19 days with these people and some I have got to know more than others.

These people have brought something wonderful out of me that I never thought I had, and something I don’t think I can even explain. I feel different to how I did when I was in the UK. I’m carefree, I’m gong with the flow. I’m having a laugh. I’m not even worried about being rejected by someone who I met in the UK who I thought could be a good match for me.

So my advice to those of you out there is, have the heart and the guts to go on a solo holiday on your own and do a travel tour with strangers. It will be the best decision you’ve made. You won’t only find amazing new friends from all over the world but you will also find who you are. I have certainly changed my attitude and opinions towards people. I think before I speak but I say what I think when necessary. So there’s my change on life, just the biggest mission of all to go now... the career path...

So if you are currently living a life full of lemons, go take the plunge and make some lemonade with strangers in a different country!
