Travelling in Australia
On 16th September 2019 I landed in a paradise. That paradise was the Sunshine Coast, Australia. So many people go to Australia to go to Sydney, Cairnes, Tasmania and so on. Don’t forget about Sunshine Coast, I was told by every Aussie I bumped into in Brisbane that Sunshine Coast is heaps better then the Gold Coast. In fact I was told Gold Coast is like our Blackpool... you get the drift 😉.
I stayed with some lovely friends in Bli Bli. Friends we have known for so long and it was so lovely to see them, the last time we saw each other was about 10 years ago. So it was very special. I really can’t thank them enough for taking me and showing me all of the amazing places Sunshine Coast has to offer. So I am here today to tell you about a few things I did, so it tempts those of you who are umming and arghing about whether to go to Oz or not. But you should. You should all go to Australia, just saying 😂.
Stand up paddle boarding, yes yes you can do it at home. I did it at Noosaville on river there which is joint to the sea. Which means it’s not as rough as the sea, but hey try it on the sea after doing it at Noosaville! There are so many places along the river front you can hire them from, so go ahead and do it! We paddled around a little island in the middle of the river, and saw fish and sting rays and people put fishing in their little boats. It really was lovely. But that paddling is hungry work, so after, be sure to visit The Burger Bar. It is amazing!! And it definitely sorts out your hunger pangs after all that hard work. P.S. Be sure to wear a hat and a T-shirt while paddle boarding. It keeps the sun out your eyes but means you don’t risk losing your sunnies, and also means you don’t get sun burnt shoulders, and we don’t want that!
So the second and last thing I’m telling you about today, was also in Noosaville again. It was whale watching. Well and dolphins too they decided to put on a show for us. For this I went with Noosa Wave Whale watching. They have a special man who looks for the whales, the only company that actually does that in the area, so you’ll be sure to see them. It truly was amazing. And I got this funny feeling over mega happiness as the boat was whizzing to the middle of the ocean. It was a feeling of, oh my god I am finally doing it. I am finally in Australia after so many years of saying I’ll go I’ll go. And it’s the best feeling. And seeing the whales and dolphins was truly out of this world. Like nothing we get at home in the UK. So that is a must while at Sunshine Coast. Another P.S. (sorry) if you do get sea sick, like me! Take Studgerone 2 hours before your trip and you should be right as rain.
So there we have it, two things you HAVE TO DO while in Australia on Sunshine Coast. Please check out my Instagram page and see all the photo spam I am putting on of my travels. And please follow my blog for more tips. I will post more Australian travel tip ideas in the next couple of days.
Lots of love, and remember, don’t say you’ll do it, because then you’ll never do it. If you have the travel bug feeling now do it, life is too short. If you’re scared to do it on your own don’t be. I’m on my own and it’s nice because you can do what YOU want. And you have to look after number one in this world.
As ever I am here if anyone wants any further advice or tips, or just a chat! Gooday!
