Marzipan biscuits
I love biscuits. One day I fancied making some biscuits, but I didnt have the vital ingredient, chocolate. However, I found some old unused marzipan in the cupboard, so I thought, why not give it a go...? Now they are a favourtite in my family, they get eaten within minutes of being baked. When the marzipan is gooey and oh so amazing...
Below is the recipe and a picture of these beauties...
200g self-raising flour
150g margarine or butter, softened
100g caster sugar
100g marzipan, chopped into small squares
1. Cream the margarine or butter with the sugar in a mixing bowl.
2. Stir in the flour and the marzipan pieces.
3. Line a baking tray and turn the oven to 180C
4. Shape the mixture into small rounds, the mixture should make about 12-15 biscuits.
5. Bake for 10 minutes, or until slightly brown at the edges, but still soft in the middle.
6. Leave them to cool for about 30 minutes on the baking tray.
7. Cool on a cooling rack.
